Dr Shuter is a graduate of the prestigious Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute/Albany Medical College combined 6 year program, graduating with a BS/MD at age 23. He has practiced Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for 28 years in Jupiter, Florida and is a respected author and speaker. Dr Shuter was the original inventor and Co-Founder of Illumask, a LED based, daily home use, phototherapy mask that can treat acne, and in a second iteration, minimize the effects of facial aging and photoaging. These products proved to be quite successful and disruptive to the industry, and the company was purchased by Johnson and Johnson. The masks and related products have been rebranded under the Neutrogena name and are sold worldwide.
