Dr. Rod Hay

Dr. Hay is a Professor of Cutaneous Infection, Kings College London and past Chairman of the International Foundation for Dermatology. He trained in dermatology and medical mycology in the Institute of Dermatology and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK and the Centres for Disease Control, USA. He is a former President of the British Association of Dermatologists, and the British and European Societies of Medical Mycology. He became a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences in 2000. His research interests are fungal disease, tropical dermatology and skin disease in resource poor regions. He co-ordinates the Global Burden of Disease Study Dermatology Group.
